A massive entertainment complex at Marina Bay in Quincy has new owners, and it is going to be revamped and given a new name. According to the Boston Herald, the Marina Bay Beach Club (which used to be called Waterworks) has been bought by North End restaurant owners Nick Varano and Frank DePasquale and will reopen Memorial Day weekend as The Ocean Club at Marina Bay. The article mentions that the updated outdoor venue will have new cabanas as well as a gourmet food court, an upscale lounge, and four bars. The popular volleyball court will stay where it is, according to the Herald.

Nick Varano currently runs several restaurants in the North End of Boston and beyond, including Strega and Nico. Frank DePasquale is behind such dining spots as Mare and Bricco.

The address for this soon-to-open entertainment complex at Marina Bay is: The Ocean Club at Marina Bay, 333 Victory Road, Quincy, MA, 02171.

For more information on the upcoming Ocean Club at Marina Bay, please go to the Boston Herald link below.

Hub restaurant owners to run Marina Bay club

Tweet This! <img style="border:0;width: 16px; height: 16px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_56bMZZCrXnM/SsI1BfMaCSI/AAAAAAAAA7A/lRSa6TzoWI8/s320/FacebookImage.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386926403958212898" />Share on Facebook.

It looks like a burger place in the Harvard Square section of Cambridge is going to be moving to a new space nearby.

According to the Harvard Crimson, Flat Patties is planning a move from its current location in The Garage at the corner of JFK Street and Mount Auburn Street to the spot on Brattle Street where the children's clothing store Calliope resided until closing in 2009. The article mentions that the new location for Flat Patties will include outdoor seating and that there will be some minor changes to the menu (they will continue to offer scratch-made griddled burgers, however).

According to one of our Facebook fans (thanks to Holly for the heads-up on this, by the way), Flat Patties has apparently already shuttered their location in The Garage. Based on the information in the Crimson article, it appears that they could be reopening in their new spot sometime later this spring. (We will post updates here as we get them.)

For more information on the upcoming move by Flat Patties, please go to the Harvard Crimson link below:

Flat Patties To Get Building of Its Own

Tweet This! <img style="border:0;width: 16px; height: 16px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_56bMZZCrXnM/SsI1BfMaCSI/AAAAAAAAA7A/lRSa6TzoWI8/s320/FacebookImage.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5386926403958212898" />Share on Facebook.
